Retail Operator

📍Currumbin Waters

⏱️ Part-time: Monday & Wednesday 9:30am - 2:30pm AEST with option for additional hours during busy periods.

The Opportunity

Kooshy Kids, the global leader in family travel comfort solutions, is seeking a dynamic and efficient Retail Operator to join our vibrant team in Currumbin Waters. Key Responsibilities

• Order Processing: Manage end-to-end order processes including order verification, label and pick slip printing, packing orders, manifesting, and coordination with postal services.
• Inventory Control: Receive shipments, accurately report counts to the General Manager, and efficiently organise warehouse shelves with a clear, labelled system.
• Warehouse Organisation: Maintain an immaculate warehouse environment - tidying, organising, removing rubbish etc. 
• Customer service:  Assistance with attending to emails and phone calls regarding operations/orders.
• Other duties: As required.

Ideal Candidate

• Customer Service experience (in store or ecommerce).
• Experience in warehouse operations is highly desirable, but not a requirement 
• Exceptional organisational skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
• Ability to work productively, minimising errors.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.

Physical Requirements:

• Must be capable of safely handling and moving merchandise, including lifting boxes as part of regular duties.
• This role involves standing for extended periods and performing physically demanding tasks in a warm, ventilated warehouse environment.
• Candidates should consider their ability to perform these tasks without risk to their health, particularly if they have pre-existing medical conditions affecting their ability to lift or stand for prolonged periods.

• Kooshy Kids prioritises the health and safety of all team members. We provide necessary training and equipment to ensure tasks are performed safely and effectively.

Additional Skills (Preferred, Not Essential)

• Familiarity with Asana, Slack, Reamaze, Outlook, Star Shippit, Australia Post portal.(Full training will be provided for these if you are not familiar with them).
