Original Kooshy Kids Sky Bunk

We're yet to use it for our flight though our little one was more than happy to try it out (and got super comfy) while we did the inflation test! Can't wait to use it.

Bought a self inflating sky bunk last month and it was best decision. It’s life changing for 13 hrs flight. It’s perfect for my 2 yrs old bub. He slept so well during the flight. Very easy to inflate.

I bought the self-inflating Skybunk for my grandson so he could have a good sleep when travelling by plane. By the time we had taken the trip with the Skybunk he had already been on 3 plane trips where my daughter held him for the entire flight. No bassinets were available.

Even though he is only 7 months old, he's a big boy and tall for his age. My daughter purchased a seat for him so he would be comfortable for the 3 hour flight. Anyone with a baby would understand even an hour with a baby on a flight is long. She didn't know I was buying the Skybunk for the flight so she was so happy when I gave it to her days before our trip. We knew that Jetstar didn't have much leg room but the Skybunk managed to fill the space perfectly making it a smooth flight for both mum and bub.  

It comes with its own carry bag and is very easy to setup. After take off, once we were in the air I pressed the button to inflate the Skybunk and it provided a nice space for my grandson to play on and sleep on during the flight.  The only issue we had was when the lady in front of him put her seat back. We just had to make sure that he didn't keep kicking her seat when he was lying down LOL!! Other than that, my daughter loved that her hands were free for the flight and my grandson was able to sleep peacefully.  

On the descent he was fast asleep and we didn't really want to wake him if we didn't have to. We waited for the flight attendant to come around and tell us to sit him up. When she came over she asked what he was sleeping on, I told her a Skybunk, she could clearly see he was buckled in (we made sure the seatbelt was in full view).  Her Team Leader came over, looked at my grandson, they looked at each other, shrugged their shoulders and walked off.  My grandson was able to sleep on his Skybunk until we landed!

I would highly recommend the skybunk. Needless to say, my daughter was very grateful for the gift and we had a very happy well rested baby. Thank you Kooshy Kids for making flying with a baby more easier :)

One of the best features of this travel bed is its self-inflating function. Deflating it is just as easy, making setup and pack-down a breeze.

Once inflated, the Sky Bunk creates a flat, comfortable surface for children to lie down, stretch out, and sleep during long flights. It turns an uncomfortable economy seat into a cozy resting area, making a huge difference in reducing travel fatigue. Our child slept soundly for most of the flight, which made our journey much more enjoyable.

Portability & Storage – 4/5

Although it’s compact when packed, it does take up some space in your carry-on. However, given the comfort it provides, it’s well worth the trade-off. It’s also lightweight, making it easy to bring along.

Airline Compatibility – 4/5

While most airlines allow the Sky Bunk, it’s always a good idea to check beforehand. We had no issues on our flight, but some airlines have specific policies regarding inflatables.

Value for Money – 4.5/5

It’s an investment, but considering the stress-free sleep and comfort it provides, it’s absolutely worth it—especially for frequent travelers with young kids.

Would I recommend it? Absolutely!

I was honestly a bit skeptical about the sky bunk, especially as we were travelling long haul on a budget airline - I didn’t even think it would fit on the seat ! I can happily say I was wrong. My 2 year old daughter slept almost 5 hours straight on the bed , which was very different to the previous flight where we just had a generic inflatable footstool - she kept falling off the side and kept waking up and wasn’t comfortable. It made the flight so much easier and would recommend to everyone! We got the bundle with the electric pump and that definitely came in handy. A woman behind me was also inflating the Original Kooshy Kloud for her son at the same time! Will definitely 100% recommend to all friends and family with babies and toddlers!
