🔧 Safety Valve Settings

Your Kooshion includes an air safety release valve (may be red, orange, or black).
To ensure it works correctly:

  • Twist fully clockwise

  • Then back off slightly (~2cm turn) to activate the safety release feature

🧳 Deflation & Packing

Step 1: Rapid Release

Open the rapid deflation valve (the large plug) and press the Kooshion down firmly. Most of the air will release in about 3 seconds.

Step 2: Optional – Remove Safety Valve

For faster deflation, you can twist and remove the air safety valve (orange, red or black valve near the main plug...colour varies depending on the model). This allows more air to escape.

Step 3: Compress

Place the Kooshion on your lap and slowly roll it from one end to the other, pushing all remaining air toward the open valves.

✨ Extra Tip (Grey Cap Version Only)

If you're using the grey cap model, you can extract the very last bits of trapped air using the reverse vacuum feature:

  1. Remove the pump from the grey cap.

  2. Turn it around and gently reinsert it backwards—you won’t be able to insert it fully (it will sit about halfway).
▸ You’ll not see the orange switch when inserted this way.
▸ Do not force it—a partial insert is correct.

  3. Turn the pump ON and you’ll feel it drawing out the last pockets of air.

  4. Once you are satisfied that all air is removed, remove the pump, rotate it back to the correct direction (orange switch visible), and store it away.

Step 4: Seal & Fold

Once fully deflated:
✔️ Twist the air safety valve back in (clockwise)
✔️ Fold the Kooshion, pressing out any final air as you go
✔️ Store in the drawstring bag provided

✈️ In-Flight Use

  • Only inflate after the seatbelt sign is switched off.

  • Deflate when instructed by crew during turbulence or descent.
