๐Ÿ”„ Know Your Model

We now have two versions of the Self-Inflating Sky Bunk:

1. Green Cap Version

  • Pump is located on the leg of the Sky Bunk

  • Twist + pull to remove the pump

  • Type-C charging (can charge attached or removed)

  • Red light = charging, blue = fully charged

  • Must use the included cable to ensure correct charging

2. Grey Cap Version (From October 2025)

  • Pump is located on the top of the Sky Bunk for easy access in-flight

  • Pull to remove (no twisting)

  • Must be removed to charge

  • Charging takes ~1 hour

  • Switch is orange โ€” flick to inflate, flick again to stop

  • Tip: Pump can be inserted backwards post-flight to remove final air (see Deflation section)

๐Ÿ’บ Inflation & Use

Inflate While in Place

  • Set up your Sky Bunk on the plane with the legs hanging over the seat edge

  • Ensure it's correctly positioned before inflating โ€” it inflates quickly

To Inflate:

Green Cap Version:

  • Twist and remove the green cap

  • Double-click the button to start inflation

  • Wait until it feels firm or the motor sound changes

  • Click once to stop, and quickly reattach the green cap (twist tightly)

Grey Cap Version:

  • Remove the grey cap

  • Flick the orange switch to turn on

  • Flick again to stop once inflated

  • Quickly reinsert and twist the grey cap back on to seal

During Use:

  • The Sky Bunk is designed for use once the seatbelt sign is off

  • You can top up the air mid-flight if needed by briefly turning the pump back on

๐Ÿ”ง Safety Tip

Ensure air safety release valve (red, orange or black) is twisted fully clockwise
then, twist back slightly (about 2cm) to activate its auto-release function for in-flight pressure changes.ย

ย

The Seatbelt Insert - Safety Feature

Our Sky Bunks are fitted with a seatbelt insert allowing you to safely feed the seatbelt though and place the seatbelt around the child's waist rather than their chest. The use of a seatbelt extender is recommended for this.ย

Here is how it should be used:

๐Ÿงณ Deflation & Packing

Step 1: Rapid Deflation

  • Pull open the Rapid Release Valve

  • Press the Sky Bunk down โ€” air will begin escaping quickly (~3 seconds)

Optional:

  • Twist and remove the air safety release valve to speed up deflation

Step 2: Compress

  • Roll or press the Sky Bunk from one end, pushing all air toward open valves

  • If you have the grey cap model, remove the pump and insert it backwards

    • Turn on to vacuum the last bits of air

    • You will not see the orange switch, and the pump will only insert halfway โ€” do not force it

    • Once complete, remove pump and store

Step 3: Fold & Pack

  • Replace all valves, fold the Sky Bunk, and pack for storage

  • Continue pressing out air as you fold to keep it compact

๐Ÿ’ก Troubleshooting

If itโ€™s not inflating:

  • Check battery is charged

  • Press the button/switch multiple times

  • Make sure all caps and plugs are removed or open

If itโ€™s leaking air:

  • Ensure all valves (especially the air safety release) are fully sealed

Some air loss mid-flight is normal โ€” top up with a quick burst of inflation
